Suikoden World

Map of Suikoden

Story:

The games are based loosely on a classical
Chinese novel, Shui Hu Zhuan( Outlaw Of Marsh), by Shi Nai'an. They take the Idea of the "108 Star of Destiny" From this novel and this first game 's story and character are loosely based on the novel. The story lines of the first three games are based around revolution, politics, intrigue, and capacity of an extraordinary, good hearted hero to overcome any struggle with the right amount of allies and willpower.

The games are unique within the RPG genre, as they allow the dozens playable characters-most of the 108 Stars Of Destiny in each game can be in the playable partly. It does use features standards to most RPG, such as random overworld & dungeon battles, saving the game at inns, a turn-based combat systemin which you input the commands via command menu, but also introduces several unusual featuressuch as turn-nased strategic pitched battles as well as one-on-one battles, headquarters that grow asthe story progress ( and only developed fulli if obscure characters are recruited) and several mini-games and side quests.

Another unigue aspect of Suikoden is that the entires series takes place within the same world and the histories are connected, so much so that some characters appear in more than one installation.

Creation Of 27 True Runes

In the beginning, there was " darkness."
Then, the " darkness shed a "tear."
From that "tear," the brothers
Sword and Shield were born.
Shield claimed it could defend against any attack.
Sword claimed it could slice through anything.
At the end, both Sword and Sield shattered.
Sword became the sky, Shield became the earth ,
and the sparks from the battle became the stars.
As for the jewels, they fell to the ground and became
the True Runes-- The rune that all other runes
were born from.

  • Being the backbone of the Suikoden World that allows the existence of the universe, True Runes are the Gods of the suikoden world.
  • No one knows for certain where True Runes came from, but legend tells that the 27 True Runes were created when the brothers, "Sword" and "Shield" fought against each other, shattering itself into 27 pieces.
  • All True Runes represent a certain power and bring both benefits and curses to its bearer, such as immotality , which could be a great benefit and a great curse.
  • All True Runes hold purpose, and this purpose tends to be pursued with no moral consideration due to the fact the True Runesare forces of nature.
  • True Runes could be quite fickle, and could abandon its bearer dies, it tends to vanish and remain hidden (within the earth or at the bottom of the ocean) until it feels reappearing.

Follow Me

Lyrics:

Follow me
Baby, I won't let you leave if you believe in me
And I always set you free from all those
yesteryears
But you don't know how much
I got believe in you

*

I was staring at your shoulder shivering
In such a coldest summer breeze

MeanwhileI wonder why we're here
Look for the line betweenlove and friends
We'll be twisting ourselves again

*

I was standing at the corner on the street
Watching the wheels are turning free
Waiting to back up on my feet
Reading a line between night and day
I'll be twisting myself again

Exodus '04

Lyrics:

With you these streets are heaven
Now home seems so foreign
They told me I was mistaken, infatuated
And I was afraid to trust my hunches
Now I am ready
Daddy don't be mad that I'm leaving
Please let me worry about me
Mama don't you worry about me
This is my story

*

Through mountais high and valley low

The ocean, through the dessert, snow
We'll say goodbye to the friends we know
This is our Exodus '04
Through traffic jams in Tokyo
New music on the radio
We'll say goodbye to the world we know
This is our Exodus '04

*

Landscapes keep changing

History teaches something
I know I could mistaken, but my heart has
spoken
I cannot redirect my feelings
Daddy don't be mad that I'm leaving
Please let me worry about me
Mommy don't you worry about me
This my story

*

Through mountains high and valley low
The ocean, through the desert, snow
We'll say goodbye to the friends we know
This is our Exodus '04
Through traffic jams in Tokyo
New music on the radio
We'll say goodbye to the world we know
This our Exodus '04

*

I'm listening to a music never ending
My baby don't you know I'll never let you down
You've opened me to so many different endings
But baby I know that you'll always be around

*

Through mountains high and valleys low
The ocean, through dessert, snow
We'll say goodbye to the friends we know
This is our Exodus '04
Through traffic jams in Tokyo
New music on th

We'll say goodbye to the world we know

Bleach(Soul Society)

Spirit World

the Spirit World, or Soul Society, correspond to heaven in human belief systems. It consist of a giant walled city in the center, known as Sereitei (lit. Court of Pure Soul), and 80 districts outside of it. The district of Sereitei are known as the Rukongai and are the place where non-shinigami and non-noble live. The district number of the Rukongai alsoa gives a measure of how bad it is. District 1 is peaceful and lawdul, while District 80 is filled with criminals and poor conditions. The Sereitei is completely surrounded by a wall made of special material that completely repels all spirit energy. This barrier extends in all directions, including down in the ground and up in the sky. The only entrances are four huge gates, each guarded by a Gate Guardian , an elite od soul society. Shinigami generally don't interact with the citizens of the Rukongai.

Shinigami Guide:

  • A Shinigami is a spiritual entity tahat works for Soul Society. The Shinigami cannot be seen by those of the " Human " World, even those who can see ghosts cannot always see Shinigami, its rare gifts to be able to see them beforeyou're dead.

  • Each Shinigami has Zanpaku-to which they do not carry while in Soul Society. Its useis eliminating Hollows and other threats.

The Shinigami have three duties:

Gate Watchers:

The Gate Watchers are giants (each is over 50 feet tall) that guard the four gates into Sereitei. They are elites of Soul Society, although not as strong as a captain or lieutenant.

Jidanbō [West Gate - Hakutōmon]
Kaiwan [East Gate - Shōryūmon]
Danzōmaru [North Gate - Kokuryōmon]
Hiku Nyuudou [South Gate - Shūwaimon]

Other Soul Society Dwellers:

Kūkaku Shiba - is an ill-tempered, one-armed fireworks expert who is particularly known for her ridiculously themed houses. Like Orihime Inoue and Rangiku Matsumoto, she has a rather large bust. Her birthday is October 1. She wears a prosthetic arm in the anime, which is at odds with her scenes in the manga, where she is illustrated with just a stump. She assists Ichigo and company by launching them via a special cannon so they can enter Sereitei. Kūkaku is part of the former-noble clan Shiba. A hollow fused with her brother Kaien, which forced Rukia Kuchiki to kill him. She doesn't seem to be a shinigami, but she knows high level kidō, and she carries a short-bladed sword on her back.

Ganju Shiba - Leader of a boar-mounted group. He is the younger brother of Kūkaku Shiba and Kaien Shiba, the deceased lieutenant of the Gotei 13's 13th Division.

Hisana Kuchiki - Hisana was Byakuya's wife who died of a disease fifty years before the main storyline. As she was a commoner, Byakuya was prohibited from marrying her, but did so out of love, thus disobeying the rules of the Kuchiki noble house. She was the older sister of Rukia Kuchiki in their past lives, and both were sent to Inuzuri (a poor district of Rukongai) where Hisana abandoned Rukia, unable to support both herself and Rukia. Hisana later greatly regretted this decision, even in her final moments, and as a result Byakuya adopted Rukia as his sister, in accordance with Hisana's dying wish, disobeying the rules a second time. She and Rukia are very similar in appearance.

Zennosuke Kurumadani - is a shinigami assigned to replace Rukia after her arrest. To his chagrin, he has little to do while in Karakura, since either the Karakura Superheroes or Ichigo tend to destroy the few hollows that attack. He is confused by the fact that so many people in the town are capable of seeing him. He has an afro hair style, which results in Keigo Asano nicknaming him "Afro Old Man" (Afro-oji-san). Tatsuki Arisawa spots him and accuses him of being a stalker when he first spies on the Karakura Superheroes. In one of the omake chapters, he calls Soul Society to complain about his working conditions, but is merely brushed off and told not to interfere with Ichigo. It is not known what division of the Gotei 13 he is a part of. His zanpakutō is Tsuchinamazu and is activated by the phrase "good morning."

Eikichirō Saidō - Eikichirō is two years Rukia's senior and a low- or mid-level shinigami (supported by the fact that he never activates his zanpakutō) in service with the special forces. He finds himself pressed into service assisting Rukia and Ichigo against the hollow Grand Fisher. After being wounded by Grand Fisher, he fell asleep to heal himself. Upon waking up, he abandoned his mission to bring Rukia back to the Soul Society, having come to appreciate her reasons for staying on Earth.

Kanisawa and Aoga - are two students who were in the same year as Shūhei Hisagi when studying in the Shinigami Academy. They were killed by Huge Hollows that showed up during a training session which they acted as facilitators. Aoga is a large male and Kanisawa is a female.

Ran'Tao - A Shinigami and Leader of the research team that created the Bount race.

Baishin - A Shinigami and was once a member of the Gotei 13, but went mad and killed 63 seated officers before escaping to the human world.

Rival Schools

Story:

Rival School

The first game in the series, Rival Schools: United By Fate
( Shiritsu justice Gauken: Legion of Heroes in Japan), was released in arcades and on the PlayStation in 1998. The game feature 2 -on-2 fight, where characters could be switched out between rounds, and the second character could be called out during the fight to the team up attacks like in the Marvel vs. Capcom series.

The Japanese version of the game also include a second disc with several minigame, including a date-sim like game where a player could create a character who went through normal school life, interacting with characters from the main game and could be later used a as a playable character in the main fighting modes. Shiritsu Justice Gauken: Nekketsu Seisyun Gauken(translate into Private Justice High School: Diary of a hot-blooded youth), an update of the game released only in Japan (which was mistaken as sequel), included a more elaborate version of this date-sim game and two new characters.

The story focused around the investigations by several schools of mysterious attacks and kidnapping on their schools. Initially suspecting, and then fighting among each other, the students found that all of the assaults were orchestrated by Justice High School and it's top student. Hyo Imawano. Jutice's goal is to collect as many students for the school in a plan to take over Japan. However, the schools manage to put their grudge and fights aside to defeat Hyo, ultimately foiling his plans.

Project Jutice
The true sequel , Project Jutice ( Moero! Justice Gauken in Japan, translated as" BURNING ! JUSTICE HIGH SCHOOLS"), was released in 2000 in Japan and 2001 in the United States and Europe for arcades an the Sega Dreamcast. In comparison to Rival Schools, Project Justice featured teams of 3 , adding three-person team-up attacks abd the ability to interrupt and stop 2-person team-ups. Like the previous game, Project Jutice included a character-creation mode that came in the form of a virtual board game.
